Later you drive along the picturesque Corniche to the once walled district of Old Muscat. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani & Jalali. Check-out from the hotel in the morning & board the 4WD vehicles to start your fascinating round tour of Oman. Drive through beautiful countryside along the Eastern Hajar Mountains. Short before Quriyat, we turn off to the new highway along the coast. We pass by white sandy beaches and rocky coves, stopping at Bimmah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater, Fins Beach with its beautiful white sand, Wadi Shab, fed by fresh water that flows from mountain springs. By passing through Tiwi, a picturesque fishing village, we reach Qalhat, an ancient port and trading city. At the turn of the century Qalhat became Oman’s export port for Liquefied Natural Gas.

Our today’s destination is the fishing town of Sur, the eastern most town on the Arabian Peninsula, where until recently the famous Omani Dhows were built. Dhow building in Sur dates back centuries and is closely linked with the maritime heritage of Oman. From Sur too, in the old days, the Omanis were sailing the seas, mainly to India.

We will set out for a tour around town and later in the evening we will drive to Ras Al Jinz to see the endangered green sea turtles come to nest on the beach (2100 hrs – 23 00 hrs).

Check-out & leave Sur. Not too far away is Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. Mountainside.Continue driving to Al Sharqiyah region. Now the nature of the landscape will change dramatically – we reach the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating dunes rising up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. It is also host to a variety of flora and fauna and one of the largest areas of pure sand desert in the world and the traditional home of the nomadic Bedouin.  Camels are a common sight moving through the sands.

After a short dune drive, proceed to Nizwa - the cultural capital of Oman.

Morning we depart on a full day trip to the historical & heritage capital of Oman - visit the round tower Fort of Nizwa, probably the best fort architecture in Oman and Nizwa Souq where potteries, gold & silver wares are sold. There after proceed to visit Jabrin Castle built in 17thcentury, with magnificent plasterwork, wooden carvings; painted ceiling makes this castle amazingly different. Later drive onwards to visit Bahla, the mystical village, known for Arabian potteries. Visit one of the pottery making units. (Closed on public holidays and Fridays). You also visit the majestic Bahla Fort, recently opened to public after a long restoration.

Day 02 – Kandy / Nuwara Eliya
After the breakfast at the hotel visit Kandy temple of the tooth Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha's Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess' hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka's most prized possession.
Royal Botanical Gardens Peradeniya – This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. This is the second largest of its own in the South East.
Nuwara Eliya which means the "city of lights" is also the city of eternal spring, where the air is pure, cool and distilled up through 1,884 meters; windswept peaks lie shrouded in mist, while gaily clad tea pluckers wind their way among tea bushes. Listen to the wild music of the water falls. This is a holiday resort ideal for hikes, golf and boating - the setting, a nostalgic reminder of the English country-side.

Day 1
On arrival at Paro, guests will be received at the airport by the associates of QTR Holidays. Drive to your hotel in Thimphu. After refreshing yourselves and having lunch, visits to Kuensel Phodrang or the Buddha point is the world’s largest sitting Buddha statue, the statue is 167 feet high. The statue is situated on top of a hill overlooking the city of Timphu, it can be accessed by road and is about 15 minutes away from the city’s center.Visit to Motithang Takin Preserve also known as the Thimphu Zoo by many is a small natural preserve for the Takin Bhutan’s national animal. It was originally a mini zoo, but it was converted in a preserve later on as the Takin.Then start driving back to Thimphu. Once in Thimphu, rest for a while in your hotel. Later in the evening you can visit The Tashichho Dzong is a Buddhist monastery cum fortress at the northern edge of Thimpu the capital city of Bhutan. The Tashichho dzong is also home to several ministries of the Bhutanese government, and the Central Monk Body which is the apex organization of the country's main spiritual order.Overnight stay in Thimphu hotel.
Day – 2
Post breakfast visit the Immigration Office to extend your permit to go towards Punakha. Then follow the visit Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory: This is a private factory and they manufacture a special watermark paper as well as products such as lampshades, envelopes and other objects made of traditional Bhutanese paper. They make great gifts to take home with you and are genuinely unique.Folk Heritage Museum: The folk heritage museum was open to the general public in 2001 upon completion. It treasures troves of culture and rich Bhutanese heritage provide rich insights into the Bhutanese ethos. Memorial Chorten (Stupas): It is a main land mark in the capital city. Its actual name is Gongzo Chorten or Gyaldren Chorten and idea of the Stupas was conceptualized by the third king to ward off negative energies.Changangkha Lhakhang: It is a 12th century temple sitting on top of a hill overlooking Thimphu valley with the main statue of Chenrizig (The Buddha of Compassion). Day – 3
Post breakfast, drive toward Punakha, stop at Dochula Pass (3,100 m), where on a sunny day, you can get stunning views of the Himalayan ranges. The Dochu La Pass is probably the best known mountain pass in Bhutan. Located at an altitude of 3150 meter above sea level, Another striking feature at the pass are the 108 Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chortens (Stupas), The 108 Chorten were built as a tribute to the Kings of Bhutan. Continue drive towards Punakha and stop at Lobesa village and have lunch before going for a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of Fertility), it is dedicated to Lam Drukpa Kuenley (Divine Mad Man). The Punakha Dzong or the Pungtang Dechen Phortang Dzong is located at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and the Po Chhu River, combine to form the Puna Tsang Chu which in turn is a tributary of the mighty Brahmaputra River. It is the second largest and the second oldest Dzong in Bhutan. The Dzong is home to some of the most sacred relics of the Drukpa Kagyu School of Buddhism. The Dzong has also served as the capital Bhutan till 1955 before the capital was moved to Thimphu. The Dzong is still the winter residence of the Je Khenpo (chief abbot) and the central monastic body and plays host to the annual Punakha Tshechu Festival which is very popular with the locals and tourists alike. Day – 4
After breakfast, drive back towards Dochula and then to Thimphu.Post lunch drive to Paro, on the way visit Tamchog Lhakhang: Tachog lhakhang is temple that is dedicated to the 13th century saint Thangthong Gyalpo, the iron bridge builder. This temple is located across the river about 15kms from the Paro towards Thimphu. In order to get to the temple one must cross an iron chain bridge, one of the few remaining of the many that Thangthong Gyalpo built. This is a private temple however tourists are allowed to visit if they are given permission. Crossing this very old bridge with its swaying and undulating movements can be quite an experience. The temple's location on the ridge and the high rocky barren hills which serve as its backdrop makes this a good location to take pictures. Overnight at a hotel in Paro

Day –5
Have early breakfast and drive up to the base of Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). The most famous and sacred site among all the places in Bhutan. Guru Padmasambhava is said to have come riding on a flying tigress to this place and meditated in a cave for 3 months, it wasn’t until Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal came to this place and meditated that it gained the popularity that it has now. The present structure is said to be built in the 15th century but was destroyed by fire in 1998 and has been restored. After coming down, you can visit Drugyal Dzong Ruins: Literally means 'Bhutan's victory fortress', Overnight at a hotel in Paro
